Very low, light, benefiting from an ultra-short wheelbase, powered by the Dino Ferrari transverse central rear V6 of 2418 cm3 developing 190 CV, the Stratos displayed an exceptional power-to-weight ratio and was to impose itself as the absolute reference for rally cars in the 1970s. From 1975 to 1981, it was for Bernard Darniche, the real seven-year state of grace. Thanks to the team set up by André Chardonnet, he won, with his friend and co-driver Alain Mahé at the wheel of the blue Stratos, 41 victories including 4 world victories. Twenty years later, Darniche recalls all his victories at the wheel and invites us to drive this sublime Stratos.
